North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce names Shafran Fields Sports and Group Tourism Manager

NORTH MYRTLE BEACHSC – The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced Shafran Fields as its new Sports and Group Tourism Manager.

In his new position, Fields will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with chamber clients, colleagues and community members, attending sporting event conferences and travel shows, providing site inspections, servicing all group travel sales calls and distributing requests for proposals. Fields will also work collaboratively with the City of North Myrtle Beach’s Parks and Recreation’s team, as well as the area’s hospitality businesses, to maximize community efforts in leveraging the city’s numerous sports venues. The area is home to a multiple sports facilities ideal for hosting events including the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex, Central Park Sports Complex, J. Bryan Floyd Community Center and the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center.

Fields joins the chamber with over 25 years of experience in hospitality and tourism industry. Prior to his position at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Fields served as the sales manager over sports tourism and small corporate group sales at Kingston Plantation. He has also held the position of guest accommodations supervisor and front desk manager / transportation supervisor at Kingston Plantation.
