Novant Health announces Sarah Tuley as new president of East Cooper Medical Center

Novant Health announced that Sarah Tuley has been appointed as the new facility president of Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center, effective March 31. Tuley brings extensive leadership experience in financial operations and strategic growth to her new role, reinforcing Novant Health’s commitment to remarkable patient care and community service.

Tuley has served as interim chief executive officer of East Cooper Medical Center for the past five months. She first joined Novant Health as the Charleston area chief financial officer in 2023 before being promoted to chief financial officer of the South Carolina Region last year. Tuley oversaw all financial operations across the South Carolina Region and played a pivotal role in the hospital’s ongoing integration efforts into the Novant Health family.

Beyond her professional achievements, Tuley is an avid traveler, hiker and outdoor enthusiast. She has conquered the summits of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Chegem in Russia, Ben Macdui in Scotland and Mount Elbert in Colorado. In addition to her passion for adventure, Tuley is a classically trained opera singer who has performed with prestigious ensembles, including the London Symphony, the Nashville Symphony and the Charleston Symphony.

Tuley is deeply committed to community service, supporting organizations such as GIVE Volunteers, Missions for Africa, Compassion International, the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes and the Bands of Wando Foundation in Mount Pleasant.

As she steps into her new leadership role, Tuley looks forward to advancing East Cooper Medical Center commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the growing community.
