Officials Secure Over 2,000 Special Parking Spaces Near BridgeWay Station Ahead of Stadium Opening
June 1, 2026In preparation for the highly anticipated opening of GE Vernova Park at BridgeWay Station, sports and municipal officials have finalized a comprehensive traffic and match-day strategy to handle influxes of soccer fan. Authorities have successfully secured more than 2,000 supplemental parking spaces distributed across multiple off-site locations near the brand-new multi-use venue.
Community Partnerships Expand Parking Capacity
Developed through a joint effort involving Greenville Pro Soccer, Hughes Investments, and the City of Mauldin, the expanded parking network aims to create a seamless experience for spectators while heavily minimizing the traffic impact on the surrounding residential and commercial corridors.
The newly designated off-site lots include partnerships with local high schools and churches, establishing parking zones at:
-
Mauldin High School
-
Holland Park Church
-
Five Forks Methodist Church
-
The Green Lot
To assist fans traveling from the auxiliary lots, a continuous, accessible shuttle service will operate before and after events to transport ticket holders directly to the stadium gates. Spectators utilizing the Mauldin High School lot are also encouraged to use the pedestrian-friendly Mauldin GateWay Bridge for direct access to the complex.
Match-Day Pricing and District Logistics
On-site parking at BridgeWay Station will transition to a paid format starting at 4:00 p.m. on scheduled match days. However, in an effort to protect local commerce, patrons visiting BridgeWay Station’s brick-and-mortar retail shops, restaurants, and tenants can receive a distinct promotional code from businesses to have their parking fees entirely waived.
For the supplemental off-site lots, pricing will operate on a sliding scale. Advance-purchase, season-long parking passes offer rates starting at $7 per match, whereas individual spaces purchased digitally on game days will range from $10 to $15. All designated parking areas will utilize strictly cashless payment options.
Traffic Flow and Restrictions
Mauldin Police Department personnel and parking attendants will be heavily deployed to manage traffic flow across the district. Drivers are being asked to navigate toward the venue via East Butler Road, Holland Road, or Bridges Road to avoid gridlock directly on BridgeWay Boulevard.
Additionally, motorists should expect Holland Road to be temporarily reduced to a single lane in both directions at the BridgeWay Boulevard intersection during event windows. Officials warn that parking along public rights-of-way, unauthorized private properties, or directly on the shoulders of Bridges and Holland roads remains strictly prohibited, and violators will be subject to immediate towing.
