Olde English District Tourism Commission named 2026 Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce Tourism Partner of the Year

The Olde English District Tourism Commission (OED) is honored to announce that it was named the 2026 Fairfield County Tourism Partner of the Year during the Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Gala.
The award recognizes the OED’s dedication to supporting tourism initiatives and fostering strong partnerships that enhance Fairfield County’s visitor economy. Presented annually, the Tourism Partner of the Year Award recognizes an organization that has made a meaningful impact on Fairfield County through collaboration, promotion, and support of local tourism efforts. Fairfield County officials selected the Olde English District Tourism Commission in recognition of its partnership throughout the past year, particularly its support of the county’s South Carolina 250th commemorative initiatives and numerous tourism and community projects.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce,” said Micah Decker, Executive Director of the Olde English District Tourism Commission. “Our mission has always been to support our local communities by promoting the people, places, and experiences that make each county unique. The Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce is a wonderful partner, and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
As the official Destination Marketing Organization for Chester, Chesterfield, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster, Union and York Counties, the OED works closely with local governments, tourism offices, attractions, businesses, and community organizations to increase visitation through strategic marketing, public relations, digital campaigns, and regional partnerships. The commission has proudly collaborated with the Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce on tourism promotion, special events, heritage initiatives, and destination development, helping showcase the county to visitors from across South Carolina and beyond.
