One week until Retrain Your Brain aims to help workers deal with stress

August 19, 2019

Although Millennials and Generation X have been dubbed Generation Stress, numerous surveys in the past few years show that overwhelming stress and burnout crosses all generational lines in today’s workplace.

Experiencing high levels of stress does not have to be accepted as the new normal. Using the principles of Neuroscience, workers can Retrain their Brain as the solution to taking their power back by reprogramming their brain to identity and manage stress triggers.

How to make that happen will be explained at the Retrain Your Brain Seminar on Friday, August 23 at Serendipity Labs in Greenville. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. with networking and registration, and the program will run from 8 a.m. to noon. To register for the seminar, go to strive.ticketspice.com/retrain-your-brain-august.

The seminar is the work of two experienced business and performance coaches, Dr. Ann Holland of Strive Performance Coaching and Liz Parker of LT Consulting, who want to focus on how workers can excel in the workplace instead of stressing out.

“If we could get a handle on the worry and stress that habitually, incessantly, and often unconsciously seizes hold of our mind, we would greatly increase the odds of having better relationships with our co-workers, managers, and staff members,” Parker said.

Attendees will focus on three things as part of the seminar: understanding the neuroscience behind what causes stress; examining your own personalized stress assessment, which identifies your unique stress triggers; and learning to take your power back in managing stress and burnout.

“While meditation, yoga and other simple tips for de-stressing are helpful, the Retrain Your Brain seminar will show you how using principles rooted neuroscience can help you destress in real time,” Holland said.
