Orthopaedic Associates Welcomes Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist Dr. Brown

SPARTANBURG, SC – Orthopaedic Associates, PA (OA) announced that Dr. David Brown has joined its practice of 10 physicians. Dr. Brown is a fellowship-trained upper extremity surgeon, applying advanced techniques in both operative and non-operative conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder to minimize pain, while restoring function.

“With the addition of Dr. Brown to OA we are eager to offer advanced services for a wide range of hand and upper extremity conditions,” said OA CEO Kelly Roper. “We are proud to offer this expertise to our patients and we look forward to having Dr. Brown in the upstate community.”

Dr. Brown completed his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts and his orthopedic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Brown then completed his hand and upper extremity subspecialty training with the esteemed University of Pittsburgh Fellowship Program. Dr. Brown treats all conditions of the upper extremity including:

Arthritis and joint pain; 
nerve compressions (cubital 
& carpal tunnel syndrome); 
tendonitis; 
acute hand injuries such as 
fractures, lacerations, and sprains; tendon and nerve injuries 
(incl. trigger fingers); reconstruction of old injuries; congenital problems or Dupuytren’s disease and joint replacement in the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder.
