Over 220 Children Battling Cancer and Their Siblings to Attend Camp Happy Days Summer Camp

June 13, 2015

CHARLESTON, SC – This summer, from June 28 – July 4, 2015, Camp Happy Days will host its annual six day camp program providing unforgettable experiences to over 220 children battling cancer. Each year the camp is held at Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton, SC. Over 200 qualified counselors including medical staff will lead the campers through various activities such as team building, rope courses, climbing walls, fishing, boating, horseback riding and so much more. For one week, these children have the opportunity to escape the worries of cancer and treatments to enjoy a thrilling and educational excursion. This year’s camp is themed: Seize the Moment! Each day, the campers will discover and be inspired by others who “seized the moment.”

Camp Happy Days offers hope and encouragement to children diagnosed with cancer and their families. The main goal is to give these children life changing experiences that offer hope, courage, and the will to fight. This week-long program, along with 10 other programs and services, are provided by Camp Happy Days at no cost to the families.
