Palmetto Center for Women Hires Haley Shae Allen As Executive Director

COLUMBIA, SC – Haley Shae Allen has been named Executive Director of Palmetto Center for Women (PCW), formerly known as the YWCA and an outreach branch of the YMCA of Columbia.

Allen will be responsible for administering the total operation of Palmetto Center for Women, including management of events, programs, volunteer development, financial development and collaborations with community agencies in meeting the needs of its members and participants.

“We are very excited that Haley Allen has accepted the position of the new Executive Director of PCW,” says Wendy Broderick, Chief Development Officer of the YMCA of Columbia. “We are looking forward to the expertise and enthusiasm she will bring to the organization as we continue to grow our involvement in the community.”

She brings experience in public relations, marketing and event planning to PCW. Prior to joining PCW, Allen served as the Brokerage Assistant & Marketing Coordinator for a commercial real estate firm located in the Columbia, S.C. area. She is active in the community volunteering for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Prescription Paws Pet Therapy Program, among numerous past volunteer projects.

Allen graduated Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s List and President’s Honor Roll with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina in 2011.
