Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter Announces New 2015-16 Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC – Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter announced its new Board of Directors for 2015-2016.

 

Officers are:

  • President: Marie Dieckmann, CBRE
  • Secretary: Rodney McClure, AT&T
  • Treasurer: Allyson DeHart, The Hobbs Group

 

New board members are:

  • Lisa Campbell has been an employee with SCANA for 28 years, and is currently in the role of Manager, Strategic Sourcing. She earned a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Her hometown is Chapin, SC, where she still resides. She is married to Billy Campbell, and they have two sons, Ryan and Jonathan.
  • Coker Day, the founder and owner of Daybreak Adult Care Services, enjoys spending free time with his wife and girls, as well as offshore fishing and traveling. He has enjoyed being an active supporter of Palmetto Place for the past two years.
  • Liza Hall is the Midlands Area President for Wells Fargo Bank. She began her career with the bank as a teller in Atlanta eighteen years ago. She has lived in SC for 10 years, and is married with two children. She enjoys long distance running and anything to do with her family.
  • Heather Johnson is the Senior Administrative Associate for the Assistant Vice President and Controller for Enstar, US. A big believer in helping others, Heather joined the Junior Woman’s Club (JWC) of Columbia four years ago to partner with other women in providing help. She has just completed a two-year term as treasurer for the JWC and is currently serving as their Youth Resources Vice President. Heather has been married to Raymond for the past 17 years and they have one son, Derek.

“I am very excited to begin working with our 2015-16 Board of Directors. They have already proven to be passionate leaders, and I cannot wait to see what they bring to the table this year!” said Erin Hall, director of Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter.

Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter provides a safe and nurturing environment for abused and neglected children and unaccompanied youth, offering them a broad range of services concentrating on personal healing and development.

The shelter is open 24 hours each day of the year with medical and mental health care, crisis adjustment/transitional counseling, after school tutoring and recreational and social activities in addition to food, clothing and shelter.
