Palmetto State Exteriors adds waterproofing division

January 20, 2021

Palmetto State Exteriors, LLC, which provides a variety of concrete and masonry finishing services, has added a division to enhance commercial and residential projects in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.

The Waterproofing Division, led by Johnson James, provides moisture barriers, specialty coatings, waterproofing and damp proofing solutions for commercial and residential construction. Moisture is the number one issue, especially in the Southeast, and creates mold, deterioration and unsafe environments in basements and crawl spaces.

“Our trained staff can customize a solution from a variety of systems,” says Partner Hugh McLaurin. “Equally important, our team is committed to providing professional service and putting the customer first.”

The Waterproofing Division’s menu of services include perimeter drainage systems, above and below grade fluid-applied waterproofing, caulking, sealants, floor and wall crack repair, deck coatings and water repellents.

As division president, Johnson James will use his more than 10 years of experience in commercial and residential construction to lead a team focused on quality solutions to customers’ moisture issues.

While Palmetto State Exteriors has primarily focused on restorative staining of brick or concrete walls, the company offers a variety of specialty applications and product installations for residential and commercial remodeling efforts. From the German smear technique to thin brick veneer, Palmetto State can help restore, renew or completely change the exterior of any home or office.

Partners John Curnias and Hugh McLaurin have a combined 50 years of experience in the masonry and concrete industries.
