Parker Poe announces new partner in Charleston office

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced the election of 11 new partners in the firm’s Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina offices, the Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina and the Atlanta, Georgia offices effective January 1, 2016.

Laura F. Locklair focuses her practice on construction litigation, property disputes and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Locklair has successfully represented owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers in connection with mediation, arbitration and litigation.
In addition to counseling clients as to claim avoidance on issues such as mechanics liens, insurance coverage disputes, and warranty obligations, Ms. Locklair concentrates her practice on design and construction defect litigation involving commercial properties and multi-family and single-family residential dwellings. She has handled personal injury cases arising out of alleged construction defects as well as industrial accidents.
Additionally, Ms. Locklair has experience representing companies, homeowners’ associations and property owners in resolving boundary disputes, title insurance claims and other real estate litigation.
