Parker Poe Assists Viva Recycling of South Carolina in Anderson Expansion

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC – Parker Poe has again helped Viva Recycling of South Carolina enhance its ability to create jobs and recycled products from millions of used tires a year.
The company recently announced its plans to launch a new facility in Anderson County, representing a $6.5 million investment that is expected to create 14 new jobs over the next five years.
Viva Recycling processes scrap tires into environmentally responsible recycled rubber products for home, business and recreation. These tires are collected from a variety of sources throughout the Southeast, including landfills, municipalities and tire retailers.
Parker Poe attorneys had previously helped Viva secure $15.7 million in bond funding through the SC Jobs-Economic Development Authority (JEDA) for its Moncks Corner headquarters and production facility, which was established in 2011.

Viva’s new facility, located at 3520 Abbeville Highway in Anderson, is expected to be operational by December 2014 and will implement the same recycling model used at its Berkeley County operation, where it now recycles more than four million tires per year.
The company’s products include landscape mulch, playground safety flooring, artificial field in-fill, rubber sidewalks, rubber pavers, equestrian flooring, rubberized asphalt and many more items.
