Pathwise to celebrate grand opening of new technology resource center in Laurens County
October 26, 2026Pathwise will celebrate the grand opening of its new Pathwise Technology Resource Center with a free public event Thursday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Skills Campus, 364 Evergreen Skills Road in Laurens.
The resource center opens through a new partnership between Pathwise, the South Carolina Assistive Technology Program and the Center for Disability Resources at the University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine. The collaboration brings assistive technology resources directly to Laurens County, so residents no longer need to travel outside the area to explore tools that support independence.
The center focuses on seven key areas of daily life: health and safety, communication, learning and personal growth, employment and workplace independence, sensory support, daily living and community participation. Visitors can learn how assistive technology can help people of all ages and abilities handle everyday tasks, build skills and stay connected to their communities.
Pathwise, whose motto is “Navigating growth, empowering journeys,” invites individuals, families, caregivers, educators, employers and service providers to tour the new space and see what it offers.
The grand opening is free, and everyone is welcome.
