Pathwise to host third annual Trunk or Treat in Clinton

Pathwise will host its third annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 25136 Highway 76 East in Clinton. The community event invites families to enjoy an evening of costumes, candy and family fun.

Children are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes and make their way from trunk to trunk collecting treats from decorated vehicles. Trunk or Treat events have become a popular choice for families looking for a safe, well lit and welcoming alternative to traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating.

“Trunk or Treat has become one of our favorite nights of the year,” said Tara Glenn, associate director of Pathwise. “It is a chance for us to open our doors to the community, see the kids in their costumes and share a fun, safe evening together.”

Pathwise, formerly known as the Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, is a public nonprofit organization that has served the community for more than 50 years. The organization supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those living with head or spinal cord injuries, through services that include housing, career preparation, a day center and case management. Its work is guided by a focus on dignity, respect and inclusion, with the goal of helping each person live a full and independent life.

Now in its third year, the event has grown into a fall tradition for Laurens County families, offering a festive night out just days before Halloween.

“Every year we enjoy seeing the creativity families bring, from the costumes to the decorated trunks,” Glenn said. “We hope families will come out, bring their friends and make some happy memories with us.”
