Patriotic Window Displays Still on View in Downtown Laurens

July 26, 2026

The Fourth of July has come and gone, but many of the festive window displays that lined downtown Laurens for the holiday remain in place for passersby to enjoy.

Main Street Laurens announced the winners of this year’s Patriotic Window Display Contest, recognizing Th’ Arbor, Southern Twist & Trade and Designs by D.

The contest is hosted each year by the Main Street Laurens Design Committee, which encourages downtown businesses to decorate their storefronts in celebration of Independence Day and to create a festive atmosphere in the historic district. Winners are chosen by public vote, with residents and visitors strolling through downtown to cast their ballots.

Organizers said the contest serves a purpose beyond the decorations themselves. It invites residents and visitors to explore downtown, support local businesses and experience what the historic district has to offer.

In its announcement, Main Street Laurens thanked everyone who took the time to walk downtown and vote, noting that community participation is what makes traditions like the contest meaningful.

Main Street Laurens also extended thanks to all of the businesses that participated in decorating their storefronts and helping downtown look festive for the holiday.

Several of the displays are still up, giving anyone who missed them during the holiday week another chance to take in the red, white and blue along Main Street.
