Pawmetto Lifeline announces low-cost Wellness Program now open to the public

May 5, 2016

Pawmetto Lifeline announced the opening of their Wellness Program, which will be offering a wide range of affordable, high-quality veterinary services for animals in the Midlands community. Pet owners and rescues can schedule appointments for wellness exams, vaccinations, bloodwork, heartworm treatments, and more with a SC licensed veterinarian at Pawmetto Lifeline.

“We recognized the need for the Wellness Program in our community and have researched and developed a comprehensive program to offer specific services to those in need,” stated Denise Wilkinson, CEO of Pawmetto Lifeline. “We ask each potential client if they have sought out the service of a private veterinarian before we offer access to our program. We want to foster an environment of cooperation and inclusion with our local private veterinarians while also providing low-cost services to those who cannot afford to patronize a private clinic. We know those same people genuinely care and need medical services for their companion pets. We do not want companion pets being euthanized or surrendered to municipal shelters due to a treatable illness. If we can help keep the pet in their home with their family, we should see a decline with owner surrenders and euthanasias at our municipal shelters.”

Pawmetto Lifeline’s Wellness Program will be open Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 12:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Toschedule an appointment, please call (803) 465-9196 or email [email protected].

About Pawmetto Lifeline

Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization with a plan to end pet overpopulation in the Midlands through education, legislation, spay/neuter programs, and responsible pet adoptions. Pawmetto Lifeline’s long-term goal is to transform the Midlands into a no-kill community, meaning no healthy adoptable pet is euthanized simply because it is homeless.
