Pawmetto Lifeline hosts 10th Annual Fur Ball Moonlight Gala, raising funds for homeless pets in South Carolina

September 20, 2016

Pawmetto Lifeline, a local animal shelter committed to reducing pet overpopulation in the Midlands, will host the 10th Annual Fur Ball Moonlight Gala, at 7pm on Saturday, October 15th at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. The Fur Ball features a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, dinner, raffles and more to raise awareness and donations for companion pets.

Guests are invited to wear their most dazzling formal wear for the black tie event and enjoy a wonderful evening presented by Jim Hudson Lexus. The Fur Ball is one of the largest signature events in the Midlands put on every year by Pawmetto Lifeline. The fun starts at 7pm when all our guests enjoy drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment by The Fantastic Shakers, and dancing well into the night.

“The Fur Ball is a spectacular way to raise awareness and money for our No-Kill Initiative, meaning no pet dies simply because they are homeless,” stated Denise Wilkinson, CEO of Pawmetto Lifeline. “We hope people enjoy this fabulous event realizing that their support will actually impact thousands of homeless pets in our community.”

All proceeds from the event will support Pawmetto Lifeline’s No-Kill effort. The event draws approximately 1,000 of South Carolina’s most devoted animal lovers. Those interested in attending can visit the website to purchase an individual ticket for $150, or if interested in sponsoring the 2016 Fur Ball, view the many options for multiple tickets and sponsorship/advertisement opportunities at: http://bit.ly/FurBall2016.

“Pawmetto Lifeline’s Annual Fur Ball is one of the best charitable events in South Carolina,” says Deloris Mungo, Chair Emeritus of Pawmetto Lifeline’s Board of Trustees. Every year, approximately 3,000 animals are rescued from Richland and Lexington County’s shelters and over 1,000 animals enter our adoption and transport program from the public. With this year’s Fur Ball, we want to ensure a record number of lives are saved.”
