Pawmetto Lifeline hosts Kitten Shower & Adoption Event this weekend

June 2, 2016

Pawmetto Lifeline is encouraging kitten adoptions by hosting a Kitten Shower & Adoption Event this Saturday from 12pm to 4pm at their 1275 Bower Parkway, Columbia facility. There will be bottle-feeding demonstrations, foster 101 classes, and special deals for adopting pairs of kittens. The goal of the event is to teach the community about the resources available to them during kitten season and to hopefully reduce the number of kittens that are being euthanized in our local municipal shelters.

“If Pawmetto Lifeline can adopt the 100 kittens that we currently have in our care, we will be able to pull 100 more kittens from the local shelters,” stated DeeAnn Jones, director of Pawmetto Lifeline’s Foster Program. “Pawmetto Lifeline wants the community to know that we are here to help, but we need their support by being foster partners, donating supplies, and adopting cats.”

Pawmetto Lifeline also wants the public to know that if they are unable to adopt, they can sponsor a kitten to ensure Pawmetto Lifeline can adopt most of the kittens out as pairs. The public can also donate money or bring supplies for the shower (click here for their Amazon wishlist).

About Pawmetto Lifeline

Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization with a plan to end pet overpopulation in the Midlands through education, legislation, spay/neuter programs, and responsible pet adoptions. Pawmetto Lifeline’s long-term goal is to transform the Midlands into a no-kill community, meaning no healthy adoptable pet is euthanized simply because it is homeless.
