Pawmetto Lifeline volunteer nationally recognized by Bayer Animal Health

May 24, 2017

COLUMBIA, SC – A Pawmetto Lifeline volunteer was recognized by Bayer Animal Health during National Volunteer Week via social media.

Bayer is a Life Science company with a more than 150-year history and core competencies in the areas of health care and agriculture.

Pawmetto Lifeline was one of three animal rescue organizations nationally who received recognition from Bayer on their Animal Health U.S. twitter account @Bayer4Pets.

Nancy Holbert-Sonnett has been volunteering with Pawmetto Lifeline since July 2015 in a number of different areas. Nancy has always led by example and even takes her “work” home with her as an exceptional foster volunteer for Pawmetto Lifeline as well.

Since its founding in 1999, Pawmetto Lifeline has rescued more than 30,000 pets that would have otherwise been euthanized. With its location on Bower Parkway, the Meyer-Finlay Pet  Adoption Center of Lexington and Richland Counties is committed to:

  • Rescuing more than 4,000 pets annually;
  • Spaying and neutering at least 7,500 pets a year and providing medical services for all rescue groups in need; and
  • Breaking the cycle that has led to homelessness for many helpless pets.

About Pawmetto Lifeline
Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization with a plan to end pet overpopulation in the Midlands through education, legislation, spay/neuter programs, and responsible pet adoptions. Pawmetto Lifeline’s long-term goal is to transform the Midlands into a no-kill community, meaning no healthy adoptable pet is euthanized simply because it is homeless.
