$6.6 million investment expected to result in the creation of 59 new jobs

 

COLUMBIA, SC – A firm specializing in the design, manufacture and global distribution of an extensive line of automotive lifts is establishing its U.S. manufacturing operations in Clarendon County. Peak Corporation is investing $6.6 million over five years resulting in the creation of an expected 59 new jobs in Manning, S.C.

Founded in 1999 in Foshan, China, Peak Corporation has more than 15 years’ experience in the design, manufacture and global distribution of an extensive line of automotive lifts, including 2-post, 4-post, scissors and portable lifts. Peak employs certified welders and professional engineers to follow a strict quality process to meet many of the world’s certification requirements.

The establishment of a facility in Clarendon County provides Peak Corporation with the opportunity to create a presence in the United States. Located at 1931 Joe Rogers Blvd. in Manning, S.C., the 48,000-square-foot building will house the manufacturing and processing of hydraulic products and lifts. These products have exceptional relevance in South Carolina as the Palmetto State is home to a booming automotive industry. Currently, more than 25,000 South Carolinians are employed by motor vehicle parts manufacturers.
