Pelion High inducts students into first-ever Tri-M Music Honor Society

December 15, 2016

Pelion High hosted an induction for its brand-new honor society this month.

Sponsored by the National Association for Music Education, the Tri-M Music Honor Society focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. PHS launched the honor society this year with 24 members.

Students must meet minimum requirements in both arts and academics to join. Members serve the school and community through performing music and providing performance logistical support.

During the induction, students elected Ava Grace Miller to the position of president, Rubie Catilin Pugh as secretary, Aaron Robert Spears as vice president, Hannah Alisabeth Kessler as treasurer and Lyndsay Jean Gray as historian.
