Penske Truck Leasing site is slated to be complete in January of 2020

A new Penske Truck Leasing site is slated to be complete in January of 2020. A joint venture of Penske Corporation and Penske Automotive Group, the Fortune 500 company looked no further than Hayco Construction when selecting the Carolinas general contractor to construct the 20,000 sqft facility.

The eight acre site is expected to serve as the home base to 25 employees. Given the economic expansion in the Charleston market, Penske felt it necessary to establish a stronger presence in the Lowcountry.

Penske Truck Leasing District Manager, Greg Bumgardner said, “The new facility will allow continued growth in the Charleston market, with the new found capacity in the Service Bays. We will also be able to leverage new technologies and improve overall levels of customer and associate experience.”

This is not the first project Hayco has been entrusted with in South Carolina. Hayco has made sure this project will also not be the last. This is supported by Hayco’s opening of a Summerville office.

“We are grateful for the hard work from both our team and Penske’s team.” said Hayco President, Travis Hayes. “This collective body of work enabled us to construct a state of the art facility that will allow Penske to do business in the Charleston market for years to come.”
