Petco expands retail presence with new location in Lexington, SC

LEXINGTON, SC – In keeping with its fast-paced 2016 growth plan, which includes 26 new Petco stores and one new Unleashed by Petco year-to-date, Petco, a leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services, will open five new Petco stores across the country in July.
This month, five new stores will celebrate grand openings including one in Lexington at 5438 Sunset Blvd. The Grand Opening Weekend is July 15-July 17.
People and pets are invited to attend the grand opening festivities followed by a special Wellness Center celebration the following weekend. Grand opening activities include ribbon cutting ceremonies, as well as in-store adoption events and special offers for Pals Rewards customers.
The new store openings in July are part of the company’s overall goal to significantly expand its national footprint by the end of the year. Petco stores provide a one-stop shopping experience where pet parents can purchase anything from pet food to toys and apparel, while addressing the holistic health needs of pets via the grooming salon, dog training area and in-store Vetco clinics in the new Wellness Centers and mobile clinics.
In addition, newly added in-store habitats for adoptable pets will enhance Petco’s monthly in-store adoption events for pet parents looking to give a furry friend a forever home. All stores will continue to offer a wide selection of private label offerings as well as branded products sold only at Petco, including the exclusive Dr. Seuss and Star Wars Pet Fan Collections.
