Phillips Named Regional Executive for NBSC

CHARLESTON, SC – June 27, 2012 – NBSC, a division of Synovus Bank, has announced the selection of Robert G. Phillips to the position of Regional Executive for the South Coastal Region that includes Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, and Beaufort Counties.

Phillips has more than 32 years of banking experience. He joined NBSC in 1999 as Vice President of Business Development and was promoted to Senior Vice President one year later.

Phillips, a native of Columbia, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of South Carolina. He is a graduate of South Carolina Bankers School and Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Active in the community, he currently serves on the board of Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina and is a member of the Ambassadors Program of Trident United Way.
