Poinsett Medical Completes Accreditation with ACHC and Recieves Medicare Provider Status

GREER, SC – December 2, 2011 – Poinsett Medical, Inc. proudly announces its award of provider status with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Poinsett Medical, Inc. opened their doors for business on July 19, 2011 and is a provider of home health care equipment and supplies.
“It was a long journey through the accreditation process to achieve provider status,” says Blaine Smith, President of Poinsett Medical, Inc. “We spent our first four months working with the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) to assure we met or exceeded all of the required standards.”
ACHC, a private, not-for-profit Corporation, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care. Accreditation is a voluntary activity where healthcare organizations submit to peer review of their internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards. By attaining accreditation, Poinsett Medical, Inc. demonstrates its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence in its products, services and customer satisfaction.

Their clinical staff consists of two Respiratory Care Practitioners and a Registered Nurse. They are providers of Home Oxygen, Nasal CPAP, Nebulizers, Phototherapy, Hospital Beds, Wheelchairs, and other Medical Supplies. Office hours are 8:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday and 24 hour on call service.
