Pop-up American Revolution exhibit coming to Laurens County Museum

October 18, 2026

A traveling exhibit that brings the story of the nation’s founding to life will make a brief stop in downtown Laurens later this month.

The American Revolution Experience will be on display at the Laurens County Museum, 116 S. Public Square, from Oct. 31 through Nov. 12. The exhibit will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Sullivan-Dunkin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust are presenting the exhibit locally, with the Laurens County Museum serving as host.

The pop-up exhibition combines display panels with interactive digital kiosks. Through storytelling, illustration, technology, artifacts and firsthand accounts from the period, the exhibit aims to help today’s visitors connect with the men and women, as well as the places, that played a role in the birth of the United States.

Museum officials are encouraging residents not to wait, as the exhibit will be in Laurens for only 13 days before moving on to its next location.

The exhibit comes as communities across the country, including Laurens County, continue to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
