Presbyterian College Orchestra Invites Community to Discover Classical Music
April 20, 2026The Presbyterian College Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Giovani Briguente, will present “Are You Afraid of Classical Music?” on Thursday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Edmunds Hall on the Presbyterian College campus. The concert is free and open to the public, and casual attire is welcome.
The evening is designed to introduce — or reintroduce — community members to the power of classical music in an approachable, welcoming setting.
Program
The concert will feature a diverse selection of works spanning several centuries of classical composition:
- Beethoven — Cavatina from String Quartet No. 13, Op. 130
- Mozart — Allegro from Flute Quartet in D major, K. 285
- Casadesus/Bach — Concerto in C minor for Violin, featuring soloist Alexander Williams
- Haydn — Symphony No. 35 in B flat major, Hob. 1:35
A Night for Everyone
Whether attendees are lifelong classical music enthusiasts or have never attended an orchestral performance, the concert is structured to be an accessible experience for all ages and backgrounds. Edmunds Hall is located on the Presbyterian College campus in Clinton. Admission is free, and no tickets are required.
