Presbyterian College Women’s Basketball Hosts Play4Kay Game to Honor Breast Cancer Survivors
February 18, 2025The Presbyterian College Women’s Basketball team will host its annual Play4Kay game on Wednesday, February 26, at 6:30 p.m., bringing the community together to raise awareness and support for those affected by breast cancer.
A highlight of the evening will be a special halftime recognition for survivors, thrivers, and warriors in their fight against breast cancer. Those who wish to participate in the recognition ceremony are encouraged to reach out to Carrington Dirks at [email protected] to make arrangements.
To show solidarity and support, attendees are encouraged to wear pink to the game. Fans will also have the chance to receive a limited-edition Play4Kay t-shirt, available while supplies last.
In addition to honoring those impacted by breast cancer, the team is supporting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, which raises money for research and programs to fight women’s cancers. Donations will be accepted both online and at the game, with contributions going toward this important cause. Those interested in donating can visit the team’s fundraising page at Kay Yow Cancer Fund – Presbyterian College.
The Play4Kay initiative, named in honor of the late Coach Kay Yow, a Hall of Fame women’s basketball coach who battled breast cancer, has inspired teams across the country to unite in the fight against the disease. Presbyterian College is proud to take part in this mission and invites the community to join them in making a difference.
For more information on how to get involved, reach out to Carrington Dirks or visit the donation page.
