Pride Link and The Community Tap to host Second Annual Community Pride Fair

Fair to Highlight Pride Month & Raising Money for Pride Link Give OUT Day Campaign

Pride Link, a community-based nonprofit working to improve the quality of life for all LGBTQ+ people in Upstate, SC and The Community Tap (the Tap), a local craft beer and select wines bottle shop and bar, will be hosting their annual Community Pride Fair on June 4th from 12-5pm at The Community Tap located at 217 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC. This event is open to the public and is free to attend.

This event will be used to promote community, camaraderie, fun, and to help raise funds for Pride Link’s Give OUT Day campaign.

“With so much negativity out there in the world, especially centered around LGBTQ+ folks, we think this event is coming at the right time. We are aiming for summer fun and a great way to kick off Pride Month and raise some much needed funds so Pride Link can continue our mission of improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Upstate SC,” said Pride Link Communications & Outreach Coordinator Keona Prude.

The Community Pride Fair will feature food, games, a dunk tank and a raffle full of good prizes. The raffle will not only help raise money for Pride Link, but will highlight incredible local businesses and organizations. Tickets for different attractions will be $1 per ticket. The prize wheel is $1 per spin and the raffle has unlimited entries with $1 per ticket. The dunk tank will take 5 tickets ($5).

“This is an event that is very close and dear to my heart. I can’t even express how grateful that I have an employer that embraces/celebrates our queer community with so much love and admoration in their hearts. We are so happy that we get to sponsor Pride Link again! They do a lot for the LGBTQ+ community and they will only continue to grow to do amazing things,” said Assistant Manager and Corporate Events Manager Kimmie Hale.

There will be food trucks on site: Resident Dogs, One-Eyed Donkey, We Got The Beets, and Common Pops. Beer, ciders, wines and more will be available for purchase inside of the main lobby and at the outside beer trailer. The event will also feature local artists/vendors with goods to purchase to enhance your experience at our Community Pride Fair.
