Prisma Health announces Matt Elsey as new CFO

Matt Elsey, CPA, has been appointed to Prisma Health’s corporate leadership team as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Elsey, a native of Michigan, brings more than 25 years of successful leadership in financial management in the healthcare industry.

Elsey comes to Prima Health from McLaren Health Care Corporation (MHC) in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where he served as vice president and corporate controller. At MHC, a large integrated healthcare system with over $6 billion of annual operating revenue and assets, he was responsible for corporate financial management activities including oversight of all internal and external financial reporting, accounting, tax, treasury/investment/debt management and budget functions.

Elsey also served previously with Oakwood Healthcare, Inc./Beaumont Health in Dearborn, Michigan, progressing in leadership roles from director in 2002 to senior vice president by 2014. His early career began in auditing, which included several years in the assurance practice of Ernst & Young LLP.
Elsey is a registered certified public accountant and a graduate of Michigan State University. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
