Prisma Health welcomes 15 cardiologists from Columbia Heart

Cardiology practice joins Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group
Prisma Health and Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group welcome 15 cardiologists from Columbia Heart to its extensive network of cardiologists. As of Oct. 1, Columbia Heart will be known as Palmetto Health-USC Cardiology Columbia Heart.
Columbia Heart cardiologists and their care teams will join Palmetto Health-USC Cardiology which will have 85 physicians and advanced practice providers. Palmetto Health-USC Cardiology is a leader in services and care for cardiac patients in the Midlands and across South Carolina. This newly combined team will continue its excellence in care, teaching and quality. The practice also includes the Advanced Heart Health Center for heart failure, which is nationally recognized for its high performance in heart failure treatment.
Kevin Boggs, chief operating executive, Palmetto Health USC Medical Group, said, “This new partnership is a significant milestone for health care in our community. As a result of this partnership, we will be able to expand our heart health services and streamline care for more patients.
