Promotional Booklet Receives Award

COLUMBIA, SC – October 16, 2008 – “Why Companies Locate In South Carolina”, a promotional booklet created by the South Carolina Power Team and known as the “Why Book” for short, received a literature award from the Southern Economic Development Council.

“Why Companies Locate In South Carolina” received a Merit award in the Large division in the General Purpose Brochure Category.

“We are always excited when one of our communications tools gets recognized for excellence,” said Ralph Thomas, president of the South Carolina Power Team. “We created the “Why Book” to effectively and professionally communicate to industrial prospects the advantages of locating a facility in South Carolina. Awards like this affirm to us that we are presenting the right message in an engaging format. We thank the Southern Economic Development Council for this recognition.”
