Providence Home first-ever No-Show Virtual Event May 21st to be hosted by local radio and television personality

May 12, 2020

Event designed to celebrate victories and raise awareness and support for local homeless and transformational ministry

Providence Home has partnered with Kelly Nash, local radio and television personality, and Splash Omnimedia, a local marketing and advertising company to host a live, virtual event on Thursday, May 21st, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. from the Splash Omnimedia studio.

Billed as a No-Show Event where “your absence is requested,” this opportunity arose when Providence Home’s 3rd Annual Dinner was canceled due to COVID-19 social gathering restrictions.

The event is designed to raise awareness and support for Providence Home, a local transformational ministry helping homeless men seeking hope, stability, and restoration after alcohol/drug addiction or incarceration. Examples of how lives are being changed and rebuilt will be shared.

Providence Home’s Executive Director, Rob Settle, notes, “We are excited about this event, which has the special opportunity to “host” more people at the virtual table than an actual banquet hall can hold. I think “attendees” will find out there is more to Providence Home than they may have thought, and some will be learning for the first time what God is doing in our ministry.”

Nash comments on his support of Providence Home, saying, “A pastor from the 1500’s is credited with the statement ‘there but for the grace of God go I.’ Luke 12:48 states ‘to whom much is given much is required’. I don’t know why I have been so blessed in my life. However, I could easily imagine it not going so well. I have friends that I’ve grown up with who are now in prison, addicted, and even some who have died very early and painful deaths. If I was in their shoes, I would want someone to try and help me. Providence Home is the best way I know to help people get back on their feet.”

“The Splash Omnimedia team is thrilled for the opportunity to work with Providence Home. Not only do we get to showcase our talents in both digital and traditional marketing, as well as strategic creative development, but we also get to make a lasting impact on the Columbia community as a whole,” said Splash Omnimedia partner Matt Thompson.

Settle will appear alongside Travis McNeal, newly appointed Executive Director of Oliver Gospel Mission, to provide a special message.
