Quick-Start Day announced & residents reminded about savings

With so much in flux right now in higher education, Midlands Technical College (MTC) is offering personal assistance to those planning to start college this summer or fall. MTC is hosting a virtual Quick-Start Day Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Throughout the day, prospective students can apply to MTC for free, learn about financial aid (LIFE scholarships, Lottery Tuition Assistance, veteran benefits, etc.), see if they can exempt the placement test, and schedule an advisement appointment.

About Alternative Instruction

Summer classes at MTC will be delivered via virtual instruction primarily through the Zoom app as well as the school’s D2L Brightspace learning platform. There are two types of classes students can choose.

  • Virtual (synchronous): Classes “meet” virtually on specific days and times.
  • Online (asynchronous): While there are due dates for activities and assignments, these classes do not require students to login at a specific time.

MTC welcomes everyone to complete the MTC application online for FREE through May15 using code Apply2020.
