Ray Tanner Foundation launches new website

November 2, 2016

The Ray Tanner Foundation launched its new website Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. In addition, Karen Tanner announced the foundation’s new spring event, which rounds out the four-pronged approach to serving the economically and medically challenged communities in South Carolina.

The Ray Tanner Foundation, established in 2005, has added the Resale for Ray event as part of its overall strategy to serve an underserved segment of the South Carolina and Midlands communities. Other events include the Ray Tanner Slam Dunk, the Ray Tanner Home Run and the Ray Tanner Miracle Field.

“We are so proud of the work the Ray Tanner Foundation is able to do, thanks to the tremendous support we receive from our sponsors, donors and volunteers,” said Tanner, co-founder of The Ray Tanner Foundation, along with husband, Coach Ray Tanner. “When we started the Ray Tanner Foundation in 2005, Ray and I wanted to do as much as we could to help those in our community who needed our help, and we felt establishing our own foundation would allow us to do just that.

“My husband said it best when he described the Ray Tanner Foundation as an organization that would not be successful without the partnership and support of this community, its sponsors and its volunteers. With that kind of teamwork, nobody can pull against you.”

Proceeds from all Ray Tanner Foundation events are contributed to many non-profit organizations in the Midlands’ area. To check out the list, please visit the Ray Tanner Foundation website. To learn more about Resale for Ray, please visit the foundation’s website.
