Rebecca Accolla named new principal of Carolina Park Elementary School

Charleston County School District (CCSD) announced that Rebecca Accolla, an educational leader with over 20 years of experience, has been appointed the new principal of Carolina Park Elementary School in Mount Pleasant, effective July 1, 2025.
Accolla currently serves as Assistant Principal at Charles Pinckney Elementary School, where she has been a key member of the leadership team since 2021. Known for her strong instructional leadership and relationship-building skills, Accolla has helped lead Charles Pinckney to continued academic excellence and community engagement. Her work includes mentoring teachers, analyzing school-wide data to drive instructional improvements, overseeing state testing, coordinating multi-tiered student support interventions, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students and staff. Stakeholders are confident that Accolla’s deep experience, dedication to student success, and focus on collaborative leadership will make her an outstanding fit to lead Carolina Park Elementary.
