Red Devils Survive Test Against Cambridge Academy

March 5, 2021
Only a couple years removed from the SCISA State Championships, Cambridge Academy came to Clinton ready to give the Lady Devils their toughest test in this early season.
Clinton scored first with a clean up shot to the left corner from Freshman Morgan Benson.  Shortly after that Junior Reese Gowan scored off an assist from Freshman Lauren Wargo.  After the halftime break the Cougars posted a score off an own goal deflection then tied the game up with PK from a defensive foal in the box.  The Lady Devils rallied back and Morgan Benson scored the game winning goal with an assist from Reese Gowan with less than 2 minutes left in the game.
