August 29, 2022

The annual Laurens County Championship game always draws a crowd, but this year the crowd was even bigger.

Laurens County football fans came out to Wilder Stadium Friday night for the big game. The stands were full and the fans were loud in support of their respective teams. The Clinton Red Devils started strong and continued to a 55-28 win over the Laurens Raiders.

At half time Clinton honored longtime head coach Keith Richardson and surviving members of his 1972 state championship team as they marked their 50th anniversary.
