ReGenesis Health Care awarded more than $2.4 million in grants to expand access to care

ReGenesis Health Care has been awarded more than $2.4 million in grant funding to expand access to care, strengthen health care infrastructure, enhance community-based services and increase treatment opportunities for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
The funding includes $1,198,316 through South Carolina’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and $1,224,500 through the South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund.
The Rural Health Transformation Program is a federal initiative led by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to strengthen rural health systems through investments in access, infrastructure, technology, workforce development and innovative models of care. South Carolina’s RHTP includes initiatives focused on modernizing rural health care and bringing services closer to the communities that need them.
Through the Rural Health Transformation Program, ReGenesis Health Care received funding for three projects:
Leveling Up to Expand Remote Patient Monitoring — $425,000
This funding will help ReGenesis expand its Remote Patient Monitoring capabilities, allowing more patients to benefit from ongoing monitoring and support as part of their chronic care management. The investment will help extend care beyond the traditional clinical setting and support improved health management for patients.
Connections to Care to Modernize Health IT Infrastructure — $333,316
This grant will support improvements to ReGenesis Health Care’s health information technology infrastructure. The investment will help strengthen the systems that connect patients, providers and health care services, supporting more coordinated, efficient and accessible care.
Wellness Within Reach to Expand Community Care Sites — $440,000
Through this grant, ReGenesis will upfit one of its Mobile Medical Centers to provide dental services. Expanding the capabilities of the mobile unit will allow ReGenesis to bring essential oral health services directly into the communities it serves and further reduce barriers to accessing dental care.
In addition to the Rural Health Transformation funding, ReGenesis Health Care has been awarded $1,224,500 through the South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund.
The funding will be used to expand the availability of and enhance treatment for Opioid Use Disorder, supporting ReGenesis’ efforts to increase access to treatment and related services for individuals affected by opioid use. The South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund identifies expanding treatment for OUD as an approved use of recovery funds.
Together, the $2,422,816 in grant funding will support ReGenesis Health Care’s continued efforts to expand access, strengthen its health care infrastructure, bring care into the community and improve health outcomes for the patients and families it serves.
