Registration Now Open for Fall 2026 Fountain Inn Miracle League Season

The City of Fountain Inn’s Parks & Recreation Department is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the Fall 2026 season of the Fountain Inn Miracle League, a one-of-a-kind baseball program for individuals with disabilities. The season begins in September and runs for six weeks, with games taking place every Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Miracle League Field, located at 700 Woodside Avenue.
Designed to remove the barriers that traditionally keep individuals with physical and cognitive challenges off the field, the Miracle League offers a safe, inclusive, and joyful baseball experience. The specially designed field includes a synthetic turf surface, wheelchair-accessible dugouts, and a completely flat layout to accommodate mobility aids and reduce injury risk.
“We believe everyone deserves a chance to play America’s favorite pastime,” said James Rice, Director of Parks & Recreation. “The Miracle League embodies the spirit of inclusion, teamwork, and pure joy. Whether it’s a player’s first time swinging a bat or their hundredth run to home plate, the smiles and laughter say it all.”
The league is open to children and adults ages 4 and up, and registration is $25 per participant. Each player receives a team shirt, baseball hat, and an end-of-season award. Buddies and volunteers—who help guide and support the players—are also a critical part of the experience and will receive proper training and background screening to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
Game rules prioritize fun and safety, with each player batting every inning and everyone being called safe at every base. The emphasis is on participation and celebration, not competition. Highlights include:
A mid-game dance break for players and buddies
No scorekeeping – both teams win every game
Pre- and post-game huddles to build team spirit
A community-centered atmosphere where families can relax and cheer
