Registration Open: Fountain Inn Parks and Rec Launching Weekly Summer STEAM Camp This Friday

Local parents looking for a last-minute summer activity to keep their children engaged have a new opportunity starting this week. The City of Fountain Inn Parks and Recreation Department has announced that registration is still open for its upcoming youth STEAM Camp, scheduled to kick off this Friday, July 10.

Designed as a creative adventure for children aged 7 to 14, the camp will focus on hands-on activities, creative projects, and collaborative problem-solving. The program is built around the “Power of Play,” which local recreation officials emphasize as one of the most effective ways for youth to learn, explore new concepts, and connect with peers.

The camp will operate on a weekly schedule, running every Friday throughout the remainder of the month. The official dates are locked in for July 10, 17, 24, and 31. All sessions will be hosted locally at the Fountain Inn Activity Center, located at 610 Fairview Street.

Due to the hands-on nature of the curriculum, program organizers are strictly limiting enrollment to just 20 participants. Registration is required to attend, and available spots are being filled on a strict first-come, first-served basis.

The total cost to participate is $125 per child for the multi-week program. Upstate families interested in securing a spot for their children can view the activity catalog and register directly through the City of Fountain Inn’s secure online recreation portal.
