Renewable Water Resources Plants Recognized for Excellent Performance

GREENVILLE, SC – October 17, 2012 – Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) announces that all nine of its wastewater treatment facilities received Peak Performance Awards for the 2011 calendar year from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). The Peak Performance Awards program recognizes public wastewater treatment facilities for their outstanding compliance records. NACWA was proud to recognize our facilities during the 2012 Summer Conference held in Philadelphia.

“ReWa is an outstanding example of environmental efforts.  NACWA is honored to showcase the achievements of ReWa and our nation’s public wastewater utilities through the Peak Performance Awards Program.” Ken Kirk, NACWA’s Executive Director.

NACWA presents the prestigious Platinum Peak Performance Awards to recognize 100 percent compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits over a consecutive five-year period. ReWa’s Lower Reedy won the Platinum Award, recognizing its five-year compliance record. ReWa’s Slater-Marietta renewed their Platinum Awards for six consecutive years of compliance, ReWa’s Georges Creek renewed their award for seven consecutive years of compliance and ReWa’s Mauldin Road facility renewed their Platinum Award for eight consecutive years of compliance.

Gold Peak Performance Awards were given to Grove Creek, Pelham and Piedmont facilities recognizing their 100 percent compliance with their NPDES permits for the entire 2011 calendar year. NACWA’s Silver Peak Performance Awards were presented to ReWa’s Durbin and Gilder facilities recognizing their consistent NPDES permit compliance.
