Rental, utilities, and mortgage assistance through the Federal CARES Act

As a part of the Federal CARES Act, communities around the County received federal funds to assist residents that have been impacted by the Coronavirus Pandemic.  Greenville County and the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority are pleased to announce they have awarded Community Development Block Grant – COVID (CDBG – CV), Emergency Solutions Grant – COVID  (ESG-CV),  and County CARES Act grants to the several agencies to provide mortgage, rental, and utility assistance to eligible Greenville County residents who have been impacted by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Funds became available on August 1, 2020. Grants will be awarded on a first come first serve basis until the funds are exhausted.   All applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of Greenville County (including residents in the City Limits of Greer and Fountain Inn that extend past the Greenville County border).
  • Meet household income qualifications
  • Proof that your household has been impacted financially by COVID-19
