Revving Up for a Cause: American Legion Post 25 Toy Run on Saturday, November 4th

October 10, 2023

American Legion Post 25 is gearing up for their annual Toy Run. This event, scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, will make a difference in the lives of the local community by raising funds and collecting toys to share with kids in need at Christmas.

The Toy Run, a tradition organized by the American Legion Post 25, is a testament to their commitment to giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season. This year’s event aims to spread joy and holiday cheer by bringing together riders and generous individuals, all united for a common cause – the children in our community.

Participants and supporters are encouraged to join the Toy Run by contributing in two ways: bringing a new, unwrapped toy or making a monetary donation. All proceeds from the event will go directly to support the local community ensuring that children and families in need experience the magic of the holiday season. Those unable to attend and participate in person can make a donation by clicking HERE.

The day will commence with registration starting at 11 am, offering participants an opportunity to connect and prepare for the ride ahead. The kickstands will be up at 1 pm, signaling the start of the journey through the community. The event will kick off at 1500 Western Square Drive (Old BILO) and culminate at Big Daddy’s, located at 915 Church Street, where riders and attendees can celebrate the success of the event.

This event not only celebrates the joy of riding but also emphasizes the importance of community and generosity during the holiday season. American Legion Post 25 invites everyone to join them on this meaningful journey, ensuring that every child receives a gift and a smile during the upcoming Christmas season.

In the spirit of giving and unity, Kevin Farnsworth, Vice Commander of American Legion Post 25, commented, “The Toy Run isn’t just a ride; it’s a symbol of our community coming together to create lasting memories for children and families in need. Each toy and every dollar donated amplifies the spirit of generosity that defines who we are as a Legion family. Let’s ride for a cause and make this holiday season brighter for our local children. Together, we can make a difference and spread the joy of giving.”

Save the date, November 4th, and be part of this impactful event. Let’s ride for a cause, bringing happiness and warmth to children and families this holiday season.
