ReWa’s Dargan Evans Recognized with Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator of the Year Award

GREENVILLE, SC – April 23, 2013 – Dargan Evans, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for Renewable Water Resources (ReWa), was recognized at the South Carolina Environmental Conference (SCEC) with the Water Environment of South Carolina (WEASC) Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator of the Year Award.

The WEASC Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator of the Year is awarded annually to a water and wastewater treatment plant operator for excellent achievement in the direct operation of a water or wastewater treatment system in South Carolina.

Evans joined ReWa in 2000 as a part-time operator at ReWa’s Grove Creek plant after being highly sought after by ReWa leadership. In his 13 year career, Evans has been a vital asset to ReWa with leading projects, continuous guidance and support to his coworkers, and his unwavering dedication to his job. Evans was instrumental in leading ReWa’s Marietta Facility plant to its first Platinum level compliance award, as well as the Platinum award for six years of compliance. Additionally, he held a founding role in the South Carolina Operations Conference exemplifying his ability to take creative ideas to successful implementation.
