ReWa employee recognized by Water Environment Association of South Carolina

Renewable Water Resources’ (ReWa) Terry Childress has been named Maintenance Person of the Year by the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC).

Childress has been a valuable asset in ReWa’s mission to protect the public health and water quality of Upstate waterways for the past 14 years, four of which have been in his current role as Line Maintenance Supervisor.

“Terry exhibits a keen understanding of true leadership through his ability to make a genuine connection with the feelings of his staff, peers, management, and customers. In the academic and research world, this style of leadership is known by the term “Affective” (as in relating to the feelings of others), for which Terry stands as the prime example” said Glen McManus, Director of Operations at ReWa.

WEASC presents the Maintenance Person of the Year award to an Association member annually for outstanding achievement in maintenance of a water, wastewater, and collection systems in South Carolina. For more information, visit http://www.scwaters.org/.
