October 9, 2012

GREENVILLE, SC – October 9, 2012 – The Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) Operations Challenge Team placed first in Division 2 at the National Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) this past week. The competition consists of five events which include Collections, Laboratory, Maintenance, Process Control and Safety.

ReWa’s team placed first in two events and second place in another event. The national recognition represents the utility’s strong knowledge in the technical processes of water treatment and emergency response for line repair. This victory also demonstrates the high-level of service ReWa offers daily to our community.

The Operations Challenge Competition consists of teams from some of the best wastewater collection and treatment personnel from across the nation competing in events that stimulate some of the challenges that team members are trained to handle on their jobs, including emergency repairs and confined space rescues.
