ReWa receives Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

August 10, 2016

GREENVILLE, SC – Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the Comprehensive and for the Popular Annual Financial Reports for Fiscal Year ended June 30, 2015.

The GFOA established the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program to encourage and assist state and local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure and then to recognize individual governments that succeed in achieving that goal.
Reports submitted to the program are reviewed by selected members of the GFOA professional staff and the GFOA Special Review Committee, which comprises individuals with expertise in public sector financial reporting and includes financial statement preparers, independent auditors, academics, and other finance professionals.

This is the 18th year that ReWa has received the award for the Popular Annual Financial Report and the 23rd year to receive the award for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. To view the reports, visit http://rewaonline.org/resources/customer/annual-reports/.
