Rhythm on the Rails Returns to Downtown Clinton on May 17

Downtown Clinton will come alive with the sound of music, the smell of great food, and the joy of community spirit on Saturday, May 17, as Rhythm on the Rails returns for a full day of fun from 1:00 to 9:00 PM.

Presented by Main Street Clinton, the City of Clinton, and Clinton Newberry Natural Gas Authority (CNNGA), the free music festival is one of Clinton’s most anticipated annual events and serves as the official kickoff for the Third Thursday Whistle Stop series.

“This is what Clinton is all about—coming together downtown to celebrate good music, good food, and great people,” said Jim Spry, Director of Main Street Clinton. “We’ve worked hard to create an experience that’s welcoming for everyone, and we’re proud to showcase such a talented and diverse group of musicians right here in the heart of our city.”

A Music Lineup for Every Taste

This year’s lineup features four standout acts that promise to deliver an unforgettable live music experience:

• Six One Five Collective – This Nashville-based group features a powerhouse mix of vocalists and songwriters known for their rich harmonies and blend of Country, Americana, and Pop. Members have toured internationally and written hits for top country artists.

• Black Lion Reggae – A crowd favorite, this Atlanta-based band reimagines popular songs with a laid-back reggae twist, infusing familiar tunes with an island vibe that gets everyone moving.

• Run Katie Run – Hailing from Georgia, this roots-rock band brings high energy and authentic Southern grit to the stage. Their sound weaves together folk, rock, and Americana, anchored by strong vocals and passionate storytelling.

• 7 Sharp 9 – Known for their feel-good blend of pop, rock, and dance hits from the ’80s through today, 7 Sharp 9 is a high-energy party band that’s shared the stage with national acts and knows how to keep the crowd on its feet.

Family Fun, Food, and Local Shopping

In addition to a dynamic music lineup, Rhythm on the Rails will feature food trucks, local vendors, and plenty of family-friendly activities. Many downtown shops, boutiques, and restaurants will also be open throughout the event, offering attendees a chance to explore and support Clinton’s growing business district.
