Richardson joins Sowell Gray as Of Counsel

COLUMBIA, SC – Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC announced that attorney Beth Richardson has joined the firm as Of Counsel.
Beth graduated from Duke University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s Studies. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2001. In law school, she served as editor in chief of the Law Quarterly and was awarded the Outstanding Woman Graduate Student Award in 2001 by the National Association of Women Lawyers.
Beth served as law clerk to the Honorable William B. Traxler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Honorable Cameron McGowan Currie of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the Honorable Henry M. Herlong, Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
She taught advanced legal writing at the University of South Carolina School of Law the past two years, and currently, she serves as Vice-Chair to the New Morning Foundation and as Officer at Large to the Board of Directors of East Point Academy, a public charter Mandarin Immersion school.

Beth’s practice at Sowell Gray focuses on commercial litigation and business dispute resolution and appellate law.
